Auto Conversion Setting

Auto Conversion is used to convert the leads into accounts and contacts at the time of lead routing, if used. Available preferences can be filtered as per the business requirements. Auto Conversion Details contains four elements:

  1. Auto merge existing leads to matching contact
  2. Auto Convert leads into contact if matching account is found
  3. Auto Convert leads into contact and account if no matching account is found
  4. Create opportunity while converting / merging leads

Note: Any one or multiple rules can be used with the “Create opportunity while converting / merging leads” option. Also, 

Auto merge existing leads to matching contact – If duplicate leads / contacts are found in the database, existing leads will be automatically merged with matching contact. This rule will then be applied. 

Auto Convert leads into contact if a matching account is found – Existing leads will be automatically converted into contact when leads match with any account. This rule will then be applied after selecting any one preferred option available. 

Auto Convert leads into contact and account if no matching account is found – When no lead is matched with the account, this rule will be used. Eventually, existing leads will be automatically converted into contact and accounts. 


Create opportunity while converting / merging leads – This rule is applied to create opportunity with accounts and the contacts. Also when the leads are matched or not matched with the contacts and accounts.
